Why Do I Have To Go Outside?

As it continues to get hotter I continue to not want to go outside until late in the day. I have told mom that I will let her know when I need to go potty but she insists that she knows better. Here is what usually happens.....

Mom says: Raven, you need to go outside and wakes me up. As you can see I am very tired

At this point I am not happy with her and I say "I can't see you"

She doesn't buy that and repeats I have to go out and I shoot her "the look" and say "Are you talking to me?

Again, like a broken record, she repeats herself saying I have to go outside and has the nerve to flip my ear up so I can hear her. Seriously mom, I can hear you but I just choose to ignore you

At this point it's been about 10 minutes and she gives up when I stick my tongue out at her

Another win for me! If I need to pee, I will let you know.

P.S. Mom would like to point out that during this session I had been in bed for 12 hours. I say, and your point is?

Spa Day - Sounds Good, Doesn't It?

Today mom announced it was "Spa Day." Well that sounded pretty good from what we've seen on TV - a day of pampering and who doesn't love that? We were all for it and waited patiently. Then, we saw the nail clippers come out....funny because that isn't something we like and today is a day for us - not nail cutting. Unfortunately we soon found out we were not getting some cool pawdicure but a nail clipping. Ok, fine - now the good stuff must start.

Next we see the ear cleaner arrive. Are you serious? How in the heck is being tortured part of "Spa Day" and no where did we sign up for ear cleaning. Again we let her clean our ears still waiting for the pampering to begin.

OMD are you serious? Do we really see our shampoo coming out? Come on! Nails, ears and now a bath? So much for a day of pampering!

And of course Rio the suck up tried to stay clean and happy because he is a camera hog....

 

And then the face of innocence, a true angel....

 who would never roll in the .....ooops too late....dirt...

And what did mama learn in the end? If we want to take a bath, we'll let you know because now I'm dirtier than when I started....so much for a "Spa Day!"

Her reply was "I'll never stop trying, I'll just call it a different name, but I'll be back no matter how much you wanna roll in the dirt"....

 

And then Thor and Rio join in....

 

However, alls well that ends well and that means TREATS! Yeah!!!! Thank you @BabyPatches because you saved the day.....

Raven's Rant - What's A Girl Gotta Do To Get Some Sleep?

Yesterday I was EXHAUSTED! I had been busy watching the new neighbors putting up a fence and then following daddy around as he was painting the outside of the house. As he moved, I moved and conveniently shook every time to make sure as much dust and my beautiful black hairs could get on the wet paint. As my darling Lou of @LouPeb put it....the finishing touch! However, daddy didn't see it that way and said I must go in he house with mom. It took all of about 5 minutes before I was sound asleep and then I heard that annoying sound....CLICK! Apparently something cute was happening and she was taking pictures.

This is what I woke up to - Thor's stinky foot on my face!

 

I gave Thor a little nip on that foot and then moved to a much more comfortable spot where I fell fast asleep, again....

It doesn't get much better than this! Not only was I comfortable but there I was on all my wonderful #pawpawty toys that my furiends gave me. When all of a sudden I heard that awful sound again - CLICK

Yep, there was mom again thinking she needed more pictures to interrupt my beauty sleep. Well now I'm wide awake and wondering What's a girl to do to get some decent sleep in this house?
